Mayo County Council is inviting applications from suitably qualified persons for the position of  Architectural Technician Grade 1.

The Architectural Technician (Grade 1) will be involved in the production of drawings and documents relating to the design, tender and construction of new-build, refurbishment, and maintenance projects to be carried out by the Council and other Contractors.

This work will involve ensuring technical compliance with the Building Regulations and other statutory technical standards including calculations of building performance under a range of environmental headings including BER analysis and the use of specialist programmes such as DEAP.
On-site inspections to maintain quality control will form part of the job duties.

Architectural Services are also provided at regional level in each of the 4 Municipal Districts where collaboration with the local communities, planners and other state agencies is key to enhancing the respective localities.

The Architectural Technician (Grade 1) may/will be required to supervise other technical staff under the direction of the Senior Architect.
