Job Summary

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Role

The post of Architectural Technician Grade I is part of an in-house design and project management team for housing, civic building, public realm and conservation works.

The successful candidate will join an established architectural design team, seeking to progress projects within prescribed programmes. He/she will undertake detailed design and production information over a range of architectural projects, ensuring that design work is in accordance with best practice and current Building Regulations.

1. Responsibilities:

The requirements and duties of the post of Architectural Technician Grade I may include the following:

1. 1. Using CAD & BIM software to prepare planning, tender and construction drawings and/or models.
  2. The preparation of presentation drawings in support of Part 8 Planning Submissions.
  3. The preparation of tender documentation, including drawings & specifications.
  4. Undertaking site inspections and taking records when attending site.
  5. Managing contractors as required
  6. Carry out any other duties that may be assigned by the line manager or his/her nominee from time to time.
