Fingal County Council is one of the county’s major local employers and currently employs approximately 1,600 staff. The role of the County Council as provided for in law is to represent, lead and serve the communities of Fingal.
An opportunity now exists in Fingal County Council for the position of Senior Planner.

Reporting to a Director of Service, the Senior Planner is charged with the efficient management, direction and development of the Planning Department/function to which they are assigned. Managers at this level work within defined parameters relevant to the position, in accordance with the local authority’s vision and objectives as set out in its Corporate Plan. Delivery of efficient services and value for money is crucial. These are experienced managerial positions responsible for leading on policy implementation, service delivery and change management in a dynamic and goal driven environment.
