Limerick City and County Council invites applications from suitably qualified persons, who wish to be considered for inclusion on a panel from which temporary and permanent vacancies for Executive Parks & Landscape Officer may be filled throughout the lifetime of the panel.
The Executive Parks and Landscape Officer will work under the direction of the Senior Executive Engineer or their nominee in the Environment and Climate Action Department of the Council.
The person appointed will be expected to assist with, advise and supervise elements of the work of the operational teams and provide advice to other departments within the Council on landscaping, and control of noxious or invasive weeds.
The person appointed will also be expected to contribute to the development and implementation of strategy, policy and standards.
The Executive Parks and Landscape Officer will work as part of a team that plans, designs, develops and manages the public parks, open spaces and public realm of Limerick City and County Council. The team also contributes to the management and protection of biodiversity, climate change, planning and the overall appearance and presentation of Limerick and the successful candidate maybe involved with these activities.
The Executive Parks and Landscape Officer will contribute to the development and implementation of strategies, policies and standards around the provision and management of the public realm.
