Job Summary

Dublin City Council and its employees provide over 900 services across key functional areas of housing, community, planning, development, environmental, roads and traffic, leisure and culture services.

Dublin City Council’s Quantity Surveying Division, within the Housing Department, has a wide-ranging role in advising upon and financially managing the City Council’s construction programme, from inception to final completion, on a varied range of new build, refurbishment and maintenance projects in the residential, commercial, leisure and municipal sectors. 

The Quantity Surveying Division [“QSD”] provides commercial services for the delivery of the City Council’s Capital Programme, primarily under “Programme Group 1. The remit of the QSD also extends to other “Operational Streams” under maintenance programmes relating to the City Council’s existing housing stock.

An opportunity now exists in Dublin City Council for the position of Senior Executive Quantity Surveyor.

The Senior Executive Quantity Surveyor will report directly to an Assistant Chief Quantity Surveyor and indirectly to the Chief Quantity Surveyor. The holder of the post will manage all aspects of the delivery of a professional, high quality and timely commercial service internally within the Division and externally from consultant firms.
