The Executive Architect will work as part of a team within the Architects’ Department. Reporting to a Senior Executive Architect or a Senior Architect, or such designated person(s) as may be assigned from time to time, he/she will assist in the delivery of a programme of architectural work.
The successful candidate will join the Architects Department which has responsibility for designing and managing construction projects and other ancillary works required for the successful development of the County in the areas of, but not limited to, Housing, Public Buildings, Regeneration, Public Realm, Urban Renewal, Historic Properties and Planning projects.

CHARACTER
Each candidate must be of good character.
HEALTH
Candidates shall be in a state of health such as would indicate a reasonable prospect of ability to render regular and efficient service.
EDUCATION, TRAINING, EXPERIENCE, ETC.
Candidates must on the latest date of receipt of completed application forms have:
(a) hold a professional qualification in Architecture that is prescribed under the Building Control Act 2007, or a qualification in Architecture, that is equivalent to a qualification so prescribed in Section 14 of the Building Control Act 2007 and
(b) be eligible for registration as an Architect under the Building Control Act 2007 without requiring further assessment. Any appointment by the employing local authority will be subject to registration under the Act;
(c) have at least four years' satisfactory experience of architectural work;
(d) have experience in the design of buildings, the preparation of sketch plans, working drawings, details and specification;
(e) have a satisfactory knowledge of public service organisation or the ability to acquire such knowledge.
The ideal candidate shall:
• have an understanding and proficiency in BIM processes, (in particular the use of Autodesk products; Revit, Autocad, BIM 360)
• be competent in the use of graphic software and preparing presentations e.g. Adobe products - Photoshop and InDesign
• have a good knowledge of Project Management tools and record keeping
• be in possession of a current unendorsed full driving licence (Category A1, A and/or B) as he/she may be required to drive in the course of his/her duties.
