Job Summary

  1. JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
    1. Duties of the Project MANAGER shall include:
The duties may include but are not limited to the following and the post holder may be required to perform other duties as appropriate to the post which may be assigned to him/her from time to time and to contribute to the development of the post while in office.  The Project Manager will be required to work on all stages of the assigned projects from inception to completion including:
 
      1. Implement the agreed strategies as directed by the Senior Project Team.
 
      1. Assist the Senior Project Team in the management of stakeholder
      relationships and the sign-off of defined project objectives.
 
      1. Assist, and or manage and supervise, the planning, design, tendering,
     construction and administration of assigned projects or elements of
     particular projects as required.
 
      1.  Assist in the production of a ‘Master Project Schedule’ and scheduled reports
       on scope, budget and timescale delivery against “Baseline” targets.
 
      1. Produce monthly detailed financial appraisal for projects and progress reports
      comparing actual performance against the base-line budgets, timescale,
      scope and the management of risk.
 
      1. Review the project costings as the cost plans are refined with the progression
     of detailed design. Ensure budget targets are maintained with immediate
     reporting of variance. This should include completing monthly expenditure
     reports and ensuring accurate and timely draw-down of any scheme funds
     from Central Government and other Agencies.
 
      1. Ensure that projects are delivered in accordance with the public spending
      Code.
      1. Ensure that all Statutory Requirements are met in the delivery process.
 
      1.  Managing performance, conduct and attendance of any direct reports.
     
      1. In the absence of the Senior Project Team represent the Council at a variety
      of meetings, undertake presentations and prepare any necessary reports for
      such meetings as required.
      1. Any other duties as assigned.
