Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons who wish to be considered for inclusion on a panel from which permanent or temporary vacancies for the position of Heritage Officer in Monaghan County Council shall be filled. The successful candidate shall report to the Director of Services, or any other person designated by the Director of Services in the discharge of his/her duties.
The role
The Heritage Officer will promote, manage and co-ordinate heritage-related activities in the local authority area and will play a pivotal role in the preparation and implementation of the Monaghan Heritage Plan 2026-2030.
The Heritage Officer shall perform such duties as may from time to time be assigned in relation to employment and as may be appropriate to any function of the council and shall carry out such instructions as may be given in relation to the performance of their duties.
