Key Job Responsibilities – Castlerea Swimming Pool

The principal duties and responsibilities will be to:

• Implement Health and Safety Risk Assessment/Ancillary Safety Statement.
• Maintain pool, including proper chemical and PH rate for the purposes of complying with mandated safety and health requirements
• Maintain cleanliness in and around the pool as required
• Perform custodial care of the pool facilities (e.g. locker rooms, restrooms, mechanical room(s), trash disposal).
• Monitor inventory levels of chemicals and pool maintenance supplies.
• Manage Contactless Payment System, Cash Handling, receiving payments and lodgements.
• Manage and supervise lifeguards/swim teachers on site.
• Prepare rosters for lifeguards and other staff where necessary
• Provide first line management and motivate, supervise and lead all team members on duty.
• Practice high standards of customer service and professionalism.
• Carry out lifeguard duties as required.
• Ensure that all emergency numbers such as Doctor, Ambulance, Gardaí are available at the lifeguard station.
• Hold weekly update meetings with Water Safety Officer and/or Council staff.  
• Carry out any other duties as may be assigned from to time.
