The Senior Executive Technician is a key support position within the Council and is assigned to a service delivery area or to support a functional area as required. The Senior Executive Technician will be required to lead a team or teams and to provide technical and managerial support across relevant service areas and to liaise with external agencies and support the democratic process. They will work as part of a multidisciplinary team within the Council, assisting with the implementation of work programmes to achieve goals, targets and standards set out in the Departmental and Unit operational plans.  A Senior Executive Technician is expected to use initiative, work to a high standard and have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

The area of specialisation in this campaign relates to Environmental duties.  The person appointed will work under the direction and control of a Line Manager designated by the Director of Services or the Chief Senior Executive.
