Job Summary

The IS Cyber-Security Analyst will report to the I.S. Project Leader Cyber-Security and is responsible for the day-to-day operations and support of Cyber-security within the Council to ensure the confidentiality, integrity and availability of the Councils’ information and data.
The successful candidate(s) will be placed on a Panel based on skills and experience and will be tasked with providing a high standard of hands-on Cyber-Security Technical Support, Project Management and ICT Service Desk Support for Clare County Council.
An ability to ensure product quality and stability and a determination to professionally manage and resolve potentially complex issues in a fast-paced environment is required. The position will play a key role in the delivery of Clare County Councils’ ICT services.
 

Each candidate must, on the latest date for receipt of completed application forms:

  1. A qualification at Level 8 on the National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ) major award (i.e. honours degree), or higher, in a relevant computing discipline and at least 3 year’s directly relevant, recent ICT hands-on experience from your employment date*
OR
  1. A qualification at Level 8 on the National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ) major award (i.e. honours degree), or higher, with computing taken in the final year and at least 4 years directly relevant, recent ICT hands-on experience from your employment to date*
OR
  1. A qualification at Level 7 on the National Framework of Qualification (NFQ) major award (i.e. ordinary degree) in a relevant computing discipline and at least 4 years’ directly relevant, recent ICT experience from your employment to date*
OR
  1. A qualification at Level 6 on the National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ) major award in a relevant computing discipline and at least 5 years directly relevant, recent ICT experience from your employment to date*
AND
  1. have a satisfactory knowledge of public service organisation or the ability to acquire such knowledge
  2. Hold a full driving licence for Class B Vehicles
